Problem

When a new opportunity was created, reps manually spun up a Drive folder, copied document templates, and created a Slack channel to coordinate. It was tedious and inconsistent — half the deals were missing their workspace entirely.

Approach

Trigger everything off the moment an opportunity is created in Salesforce, and standardize the entire deal workspace so every rep works the same way.

What I built

  • A Make scenario triggered on new Salesforce opportunities.
  • Auto-created Google Drive folder with templated deal documents.
  • Auto-created and named Slack channel, with the right people invited.
  • Links written back to the Salesforce record so everything is one click away.

Results

  • Deal-room setup dropped from ~30 minutes to seconds.
  • 100% of opportunities now have a consistent workspace.
  • Reps start selling instead of setting up.
